Peace everyone. I go by Btheabstract. Sending you vibrations of gratitude for visiting the Btheabstract Atelier website.

Btheabstract Atelier is a creative manifestation of me, Btheabstract, based in New York City, with the aim to inspire, empower, and educate through the realms of audio, text, and visuals. We aim to disrupt the comforts of today, through content for marginalized millennials and their allies, that intersects social justice and pop culture.

Growing up, I always loved reading, writing, photos, and videos. As a child, these forms of communication helped me escape my reality and served the purpose of informing me on the world outside of myself, as well as within. My life was positively impacted by the power of storytelling.-it became my means of expression. I was convinced that I had to be a part of this world-to return the gift that was given to me. I committed to the call of being a storyteller.

In order to qualify my call, I pursued a path of learning at St. John’s University, where I graduated with a B.S. in Journalism with a minor in Business and Full Sail University, where I obtained my Master’s in New Media Journalism. I’ve spent years, since high school, learning and covering the topics provided on this site. I expanded my audience and sharpened my skills during my time as an Entertainment/Music Journalist for The Source Magazine, ThatsEnuff.com, and other independent outlets.

In the times where I wasn’t actively practicing my own craft, my attention was centered on teaching middle school students in Harlem and Brooklyn the power and love of the same forms of communication that were my solace, friend, and sense of worth when I was silenced and overlooked.

If you are reading this, you are now a part of the Btheabstract Atelier journey. Be prepared to bear witness to the power of authentic storytelling intended to move the world closer to its higher self.
